Without star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding result that all but secures them a place in the Conference League playoffs.
Another victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal straight entry to the last 16, particularly following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.

This match offered a chance for several Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second consecutive succession.

The match was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some comically weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
