The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, evil spirits, and dark forces increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team includes Teor (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might seem mismatched, but the events of the third episode show why these particular heroes are best suited for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then settled his obligations and fled to a secure base in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, desires revenge.
  • The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile place.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could help the team reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the family.

This means them no alternative but to head to Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.

What’s Next?

According to episode three’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to assemble the Explorers and Planners tables.

Viewers can anticipate discovering which adventurers will be where in the season’s concluding setup installment, released on the upcoming Thursday.
